HEI Bridges
Every child deserves to feel safe, supported, and understood as they learn and grow. At HEI Bridges, we support neurodivergent learners to thrive within inclusive, mainstream preschool environments as well as build confidence, connection and readiness for their next educational journey.
With over two decades of early years’ experience beginning with White Lodge in 1999 and complemented by 12 years of expertise at Melbourne International School, HEI Bridges provides inclusive, structured and supportive learning environments for children with diverse needs with integrated therapy.
We are a therapy-informed school, where teaching and support strategies are guided by an understanding of each child’s developmental, sensory and communication needs. We work closely and collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including Occupational Therapists (OT), Speech and Language Therapists (SLT), and Clinical Psychologists, to ensure that every child receives holistic and consistent support.
This collaborative approach allows us to align classroom practices with therapeutic goals, supporting children’s wellbeing, regulation, communication and social development. By integrating therapy-informed strategies into daily learning, we create environments where children feel secure, engaged, and empowered to participate.
Our focus is on nurturing the whole child, supporting not only academic readiness, but also emotional wellbeing, independence and meaningful connections with others.
Who we support
We welcome children with diverse learning profiles, including those who may benefit from early intervention or additional developmental support. We support children who have diagnosis of Autism, ADHD, GDD, Down Syndrome, Intellectual Disability, Developmental delay, Speech delay, Sensory Processing Disorders and more.

Our Multi-Disciplinary Support
Occupational Therapy (OT)
Occupational Therapists support children’s sensory processing, motor skills and self-regulation. They help children develop the ability to participate in everyday activities such as sitting, focusing, transitioning between tasks and engaging in play. OT strategies are embedded into the classroom to support calm, organised and ready-to-learn behaviours.
Speech and Language Therapy (SLT)
Speech and Language Therapists support children’s communication skills, including understanding language, expressing needs and developing social communication. They work on areas such as vocabulary, sentence building, turn-taking and interaction skills, ensuring children can communicate confidently in both structured and social settings.
Clinical Psychology
Clinical Psychologists support children’s emotional wellbeing, behaviour and social understanding. They help identify underlying needs, support emotional regulation and guide strategies that promote positive behaviour, resilience and confidence. Their input ensures that each child’s emotional development is supported alongside learning.
